The journal aims to be accessible to a broad readership interested in the anthropology of Latin American and Caribbean.  Articles are accepted in English, Portuguese, and Spanish.  If a Spanish- or Portuguese-speaking author prefers to publish an article in English, it is incumbent upon the author to ensure that the English is grammatically and syntactically correct.

The first use of a foreign concept or terms should appear in italics and be translated in parentheses.  After first-use, italics are not required.

All articles must be written clearly and exclude jargon.  Articles should have a central argument which is supported by evidence.  A clear demonstration of in-depth field research should be apparent.  A synthesis of the methodology used should also be included.
